Muireall was born and reared on Apalachee land in what's now called the North Florida panhandle. They grew up in a house full of dogs and cats, being held by the warm, damp coastal air, surrounded by Loblollies and Magnolias. Their first job in high school involved overnight pet boarding, where they learned about the rhythms and needs of all sorts of different dogs. Later, they went to bodywork school, where they studied Awareness Oriented Somatic Bodywork and became an LMT, with a focus in PTSD and chronic pain. When they moved to the lands of the Chinook nations, now known as Portland, Oregon, Muireall spent some time working as a trauma-informed outdoor educator and childcare provider, in addition to their LMT work. Now, they are pursuing their CPDT, with the ultimate goal of bringing their love of the natural world — as well as their fascination with the resolution of PTSD and the process organisms go through in learning more adaptive behaviors with which to navigate the world — to their work and interactions with dogs and all other human and nonhuman animals.
Muireall uses they/them pronouns.
